Mix onion, nectar, dark colored sugar, soy sauce, margarine, mustard powder, and garlic together in a pot over medium warmth; cook until hot, around 5 minutes.
Spread chicken wings in an even layer into a shallow heating dish; pour sauce over the wings.
Marinate wings in refrigerate 1 hour to medium-term.
Preheat broiler to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Heat the chicken wings, turning once in a while, until never again pink at the bone and the juices run clear, around an hour and a half. A moment read thermometer embedded close to the bone should peruse 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
